Danibal’s liefde voor de mondharp ontvlamde toen hij zo’n twintig jaar geleden in aanraking kwam met Toevaanse keelzang. Inmiddels is hij een specialist op deze synthesizer uit de oertijd. Zijn koffer is gevuld met instrumenten uit alle windstreken. Als zanger tast hij de grenzen af van de menselijke stem: keelzang, klankpoëzie, jodelen en een vleugje human beatbox. Danibal maakt met behulp van live loops een heel eigen wereld van klanken: ritmisch, grappig, dan weer als een bezwerende sjamaan.

Danibal’s love for the mouth harp exploded when he came into contact with Tuscan throat singing some twenty years ago. He is now a specialist on this prehistoric synthesizer. His suitcase is filled with instruments from all corners of the world. As a singer he explores the limits of the human voice: throat singing, sound poetry, yodelling and a touch of human beatbox. Danibal creates his own world of sounds with the help of live loops: rhythmic, funny and as a mesmerizing shaman.
